It is difficult to comprehend why someone might need a Bucket and Spade on Herne Bay beach.... after all, there are very few opportunities to build sand castles!!

Herne Bay is a seaside town in Kent, South East England, with a population of 35,000. On the south coast of the Thames Estuary, it is 7 miles (11 km) north of Canterbury and 1 mile (2 km) east of Whitstable. It neighbours the ancient villages of Herne and Reculver and is part of the City of Canterbury local government district. Until 1978, the town had the second-longest pier in the United Kingdom.
