This is the entrance to Herne Bay Memorial Park, it's called The 'Avenue of Remembrance' and is a memorial to the town's residents killed during the two world wars.

Herne Bay is a seaside town in Kent, South East England, with a population of 35,000. On the south coast of the Thames Estuary, it is 7 miles (11 km) north of Canterbury and 1 mile (2 km) east of Whitstable. It neighbours the ancient villages of Herne and Reculver and is part of the City of Canterbury local government district. Until 1978, the town had the second-longest pier in the United Kingdom.
